The Estate
Manfredi cultivates approximately 15 hectares of vineyards in Dogliani and Farigliano, in the westernmost part of the Langhe. This is Bricco Rosso, the family’s historic single-body estate that winds around a large farmhouse at the top of the hill, called «bricco» in Piedmontese.
The vineyards of Bricco Rosso are planted with the typical grape varieties of the Langhe region, especially Dolcetto and Nebbiolo, the most characteristic of Piedmontese grapes.
The first unit was cultivated by the family in the early 1900s. Since then, it has been our most important property: the vineyards are under organic management and yield labels of the Bricco Rosso line, Manfredi’s cru wines that are vinified and aged in the historic cellars of the estate.
Bricco Rosso is located on the hills of Farigliano, within the Dogliani denomination: a territory of wild beauty that has been dedicated to the cultivation of Dolcetto grapes for centuries.
This is an intimate and secluded region, relatively untouched by man, whose vineyard landscape overlooks the winding course of the Tanaro River and is influenced by the refreshing breeze from the Alpine mountains that outline the horizon. The steep and rugged slopes occasionally plunge into gorges found along the river, revealing the heart of the hills.

Bricco Rosso’s «landscape poetry» has become the backdrop for unforgettable events, receptions and weddings.

A COUNTRY HOUSE AMONG THE VINEYARDS
The recently renovated Cascina Bricco Rosso is now a captivating facility nestled among the Langhe vineyards: an ancient rural structure dominating the surrounding hills and offering a rare and magnificent panorama.
Legend has it that the Cartunè (the cart drivers who came from the plains of Cuneo to buy wine) on clear autumn mornings, upon seeing the first hill of Dogliani in Langhe with the vine leaves lit up by the rising sun, would shout «Look over there, you can already see the Bricco Rosso!». The Cartonè indicated with the outstretched arm the hill upon Farigliano which divides this village from Dogliani and that today it still presents a peculiar characteristic: it may be the geological substrate, it may be the position of vineyards, however the harvest comes here a bit early, getting the leaves red and creating a small vermillion isle on the sea still green of the surrounding hills. A sight that still unfolds today thanks to the unique position of the structure, bathed in sunlight from dawn to dusk.
Today, the farmhouse offers 12 spacious and comfortable rooms furnished in classic Piedmontese style, offering majestic views of the vineyards. The shaded garden, swimming pool and panoramic terrace are available to guests for a leisurely and relaxing holiday, surrounded by landscapes recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
